Last spring Congreso’s OST program at Fairhill engaged in a social action project to assist victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The 2nd grade North Star Scholars in Ms. Nancy’s Family B sold water ice and collected donations in order to raise enough money to pay the school tuition of a 10 year old student named Phidelia. Phidelia, who now lives in a tent camp in Port-au-Prince, was a top student whose parents could not afford school tuition after the devastating earthquake. Thanks to the Scholars in Family B, Phidelia will be returning to school this year. Keep up the good work, Scholars!
